A.T. “Al” Benelli, CFP ®

Education:

A U.S. Air Force Vietnam veteran honored by the PA House of Representatives for his service, Al received his education in Engineering and Business Administration at Penn State and St. Joseph’s Universities respectively under military benefits provided through the GI bill. He continues his financial services education through the Wharton School of the University of PA.

Work Experience:

Al is a Certified Financial Planner practitioner; Fraternal Insurance Counselor; active member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA); life member of The Million Dollar Round Table (MDRT); former county director of the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) and founder of The Merlin Group established in 1983. Al Retired from Long Financial in June of 2013

Areas of Interest:

Recently, Al was part of a U.S. delegation of financial planners from the FPA… the very first to visit and work with their counterparts in the newly formed Russian Federation… assisting in the establishment of channels by which to deliver personalized financial services within the former Soviet Union. Al is a member of Norristown Lodge #620, F&AM. His Personal Finance column appears in local and national newspapers. Al enjoys motorsports, cooking and traveling.
